- Your extended studies sessions give you the opportunity to extend your knowledge of particular units.
- Your progress will be monitored on Moodle - it will track when you log in and when you complete the tasks.
- Go to Moodle and click on the link on the "Extended Studies" topic for instructions on how to submit your work.
For this unit, we are going to use these sessions for extra guidance and preparation for your exam. Below are some past papers and example student responses for pass, merit and distinction. Have a look through these and then complete the tasks.
TASKS
WEEK 1
1. Read through the first past paper for January 2019. Write down all of the important information that you need to consider in the brief (e.g. deadlines, timings, description of brief etc.)
2. If you were to complete this exam, which brief would you choose and why?
3. Create a list of all tasks that you would need to complete and submit for the exam
WEEK 2
1. Read through the three examples of student responses.
2. Identify why you think each student got the marks that they did.
3. What are the main differences between the pass response and the distinction response?
WEEK 3
1. Read through the past paper for May 2019
2. Choose one of the commissions that you would like to focus on.
3. Identify your target audience and create an audience profile
4. Start your ideas generation (mood boards, mind maps etc)

1. Complete some primary and secondary research (questionnaire, textual analysis, sourcing information etc.)

1. Create a budget for your production
2. Create a schedule for your production
3. Create an equipment list for your production
4. Identify the platform for your production
